Superb

Posted Tuesday, September 29, 2026 by Scott N. A must-have in conjunction with "Four & More", but MoFi did a great job with this one. Highly recommend.

Incredible sound and CD-like noise floor

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, September 19, 2026 by Marc This is simply one of the best-sounding albums in my collection. I wish every lp could be this quiet. Most all QRP releases are quiet but the noise floor on this one is so low it might as well not exist.

Wes Montgomery - Full House

Best version I've heard of this live performance

5 Stars
Posted Friday, September 18, 2026 by Sal I first heard this record as a CD in the late 90s. Loved it, but it sounded midrange-y, dry. I always thought it was just a bad recording. This 45 is wonderful. Clear separation of instruments, especially the double bass, which features prominently compared to the other releases where it sounded jumbled into the mix. The gatefold is nice too, featuring photos by Jim Marshall of Wes,.

Music is 5-star but record is 1-star

2 Stars
Posted Saturday, August 29, 2026 by Anonymous I had high expectation but very disappointed. The singing and backup music are fantastic but the first second I put down the stylus, I heard cracks and pops from the first to the third track on side A, same on side B. It was unbearable so I stopped playing the first disc and put it back into sleeve, not bothering the second disc. I did clean the record twice on Humminguru before playing. I'm overseas so I didn't bother to return it. I wasted 40 bucks.

Better than the OJC version

5 Stars
Posted Friday, August 28, 2026 by Scott N. I bought the OJC 33 1/3 RPM version and am selling it to a friend after replacing it with this one. Amazingly quiet pressing, sonic details are incredibly good. Get it.

Another Home Run

5 Stars
Posted Friday, August 28, 2026 by Scott N. I bought Stan Getz/Luis Bonfa "Jazz Samba" first, which is also amazing and this one is the same. Jim Hall is killing on it too. Get it. Dead quiet, wide, clear, etc audiophile goodness.

Great sound, hit or miss pressing

4 Stars
Posted Friday, July 17, 2026 by Scott N. Sound-wise, absolutely amazing and the best I've heard of this recording since it came out in 1994. BUT, even though it was pressed at RTI, sides 3 and 4 contain lots of distracting clicks that really distract from listening pleasure in the quiet passages especially. Shame.

THIS is the one you want

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, July 16, 2026 by Scott N. I bought this one thru Music Direct, but I am replacing the MoFi mono copy with this one. The first listen absolutely blew me away! Dead quiet vinyl, outstanding stereo width and depth, and superior clarity. This classic release is a must for any Miles fan and the performances and audio quality here are unbeatable. HIGHLY recommend.

Still one of the best demo records ever made. Rivaling even the best in digital

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, July 8, 2026 by Wised Be warned, the first copy I ordered was very cupped, I damaged it flattening it so I ordered a second which was perfect. The sound quality of this pressing is extraordinary even by today's best digital standards. How they achieved such almost imperceptible tape hiss in 1862 without noise reduction borders the miraculous. The dynamic range, transients, fidelity and clarity are by all measures of digital quality. To boot the music is excellent and cool!

Beautiful time in music

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, June 25, 2026 by Joel Beautiful, the players, the sound, and the compositions. This 45 is amazingly good. Compared to the blue vinyl 33, this 45 gives the listener more musical information and more of an immersive listening experience. There’s just more beauty in the presentation. Thank you for such an amazing document of a magical time in music history. Timeless

My Copy Was Dead Quiet — and I Got Completely Lost In It

5 Stars
Posted Sunday, May 17, 2026 by BrighamDoc I'd heard from a lot of people that this album frustrated them — too much surface noise cutting into all those quiet, fragile passages. That wasn't my experience at all. This pressing is dead silent with just a bit of the normal vinyl woosh. Flat vinyl, barely a click or pop, and a soundstage that just opens up wide and beautiful and pulls you in. I stopped thinking about the equipment completely and got lost in the vibe — which is exactly what Pharoah and the Floating Point Ensemble are going for. The interplay between his tenor and the orchestra hangs in the air and the quiet actually lands the way it should.

Check out the jacket on the jacket

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, May 16, 2026 by Anthony This is one of those rare excellently recorded live jazz albums and even though it is in mono, it has a wide spread. It is far superior to my Japanese EMI pressing, plus there is added material on the second and third discs and a very informative booklet included.

Brilliant Performances, Excellent Mastering

George Benson to Perfection!

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, May 6, 2026 by Larry H. Happy 40th Acoustic Sounds and thank you Analogue Productions for another stellar job! Over the years, I've had several formats of this release, including cassette but NONE compared to this! Every note produced on every instrument is crystal clear and sharp! It was like having George Benson in the room! Absolute silence with no noise on either disc. I've NEVER heard "This Masquerade" or any other track sound like they do on this version! Excellent production of the heavy gate-fold jacket as well! Thank you to Chad and the whole team!

Excellent sonically and musically

5 Stars
Posted Friday, May 1, 2026 by Scott N. Had this on the AS wishlist and found this in a Chicago record store while I was there. Absolutely stunning sonically, nothing surprising considering who mastered it and who pressed it, well worth the price and highly recommended! Great dynamics on this date too.
