The instrumentation is recorded great and sounds very natural, it's her vocals that I have a big problem with. Her vocals sound like nails on a chalk board.

The mastering of this album by Analogue Productions is just amazing. I did not listen to the CD layer. The SACD layer is just so real. A lot of dynamics and smooth in a good way. This is best I've ever heard this album in a digital medium.

I had been waiting quite a while for this release on vinyl and it did not disappoint. The pressing is very quiet with no distractions. Cecile's crystal-clear (reminiscent of Ella) vocals are up front and given prominence with the musicians in the background as it should be. She has seemingly unlimited vocal range. If you ever wondered what Bessie Smith would sound like with today's recording technology, this could be as close as you can get.

This probably rates as one of the top 10, all time Jazz albums. She treats a multitude of genres with sophistication and simplicity. The people behind her are top notch. The arrangements...wow! Performance...a zinger. And the quality of the recording doesn't get any better.

If you're buying this record then you might be replacing your Lost Highways pressing so you're familiar with how beautiful the music is on this album. That's the case me. What I wasn't prepared for was the night and day difference between the two in terms of sound quality. Every album that I've bought that has been pressed at QRP in Salina has been excellent but I think this Doug Sax mastered album is their gold medal winning masterpiece so far. I was simply blown away from the opening notes on side one to the closing notes on the last song on side two.

I wish all my music sounded this good! Dead quiet and with a overall sound quality that you just can't get on digital

How to describe - A moving experience? The multichannel version of Something Cool is delicious, your living room becomes a humid, darkly lit soundstage. Incredible sound, well engineered!

I have a good amount of audiophile level pressings, including 45s and japs and this is my best sounding LP. Amazing pressing. Great music. Buy it before you cant.

Nice voice, smooth delivery. The recording quality and playback are excellent. Sometimes the music doesn't fit the song, e.g. the solo in "Windmills of Your Mind".

This was my first foray into a 45 rpm lp. I was familiar with Jacintha's vocals from CD's so I expected a 'pleasant' production with an analog quality. I was stunned by the clarity/resolution, low noise floor and overall sound quality.
