Thanks to Donald Fagen, Chad Kassam, Bernie Grundman and Stan Bishop, and all to involved, I feel as If I have finally heard this album like it was supposed to sound. And it sounds great!

They didn’t crank the bass to ridiculous levels on this one either like Smiley Smile (which was ridiculously boosted). The only Flaw with this is that the spindle hole is way too small. But thank goodness I have my Stable 33.33 Center Hole reamer. I’m really getting my moneys worth on that, with these modern pressings. If you’re reading this just buy it! You know the flippers will be selling this for hundreds once these go out of stock. As Chad always says… Buy Now or Cry Later

A Bd first press to the UHQR and just like Can’t Buy A

Thrill great balance, clarity,separation,and detail.

Vinyl is flat and silent. Larger soundstage and overall

greater dynamics. Playing on a pretty resolving system

as well. I’m so glad Bernie’s hearing is still great and glad he

got a chance to improve these. Tapes must have been

in decent shape as well

Could not be more thrilled

After receiving and spinning my copy today, I am done chasing source for this album. This tasty bit of vinyl contains the sound I have been chasing for decades.

Simply, I am stunned as to the detail and nuance revealed by this pressing. This vinyl is a joy to spin.

Goosebump Inducing

Posted Sunday, April 3, 2022 by Dan Swan Received my copy today,and any expectations I may have had were instantly blown away. This album has never sounded this good. Bernie Grundman has once again made something old, new again. The sound quality here is staggering, and on my second listen there were several moments where I actually got goosebumps, and you can’t fake goosebumps. The soundscape is unbelievably clean, and the pressing is pure perfection. I have purchased all the UHQR’s that Analog Productions have released, and now my hope is that they do Electric Ladyland next. This release is completely worth the price, and I’m absolutely over the moon with this one. Hearing this for the first time was like a spiritual experience, or the most powerful natural high I could possibly imagine. Grab this before it’s gone, you won’t be disappointed.

One thing is that 45 RPM which naturally encourages deeper bass really works with and complements the Skynrd sound. So I think the 45 is a really nice match with this record (and Skynrd in general). Got this for $35 which is a steal. Grab them while they are this cheap!

I hesitated to purchase this one, thinking it couldn't sound any better than the mono or stereo remasters, but I'm so glad I did. I thought I knew every beat of this record, but this pressing charms me again each time I listen. Thanks AP! (Yes, it's flawless - quiet, clean, etc)

This time he's managed to transport me back to 1974,when at 15-16 years-old, I first heard Skynyrd coming from a friend's car 8 track. The clarity is breathtaking,yet no bottom end is lost...in fact it's sweetened. Leon's bass is front and center throughout. I haven't had a record touch my emotions like this in a very long time. Do NOT hesitate grabbing a copy of this !!!

Posted Sunday, October 30, 2011 by Mike This 45 rpm reproduction of DIM is just marvelous. The detail is just so clear and I have heard so many versions. There was always this hiss on all the versions I have heard. It arrived a little scratched but it's a record you know. I was more interested in the sound and detail because I own every version of this recording be it old new cd etc etc. The 45 RPM helps I think every aspect of the sound, than a 33 1/3. So honestly this is as good as it gets. I wish my system was more audiophile but what can you do. DIM FOREVER
