I purchased all the U2 reissues here even though I already own most of the originals. On this pressing the vinyl is fairly quiet and that adds something my original version no longer has. I tried listening to the difference between the original and the reissue by flipping between records and playing Bad, the second track on side two. This really revealed the differences between the original and the reissue. Where the original seems to have a warmer quality, the reissue is tighter, more precise and less out of control during portions of the song. The bass guitar is much more loose on the original pressing. On the reissue, the drum cymbals aren't quite as bright, but they don't suffer the same type of uncontrolled crashing toward the end of the song. Overall the reissue is cleaned up. Bono's vocals lose a bit of warmth in his quieter moments but gain better definition when he really gets going. This reissue is a much better choice if you intend to listen at higher volume level.
