This jazz-piano pacesetter brought hard bop to the masses when he put out this all-time Blue Note classic, which crossed over to the pop charts in 1965. The CD includes a trio version of "Que Pasa" plus three other bonus tracks; both discs include the famous title song, "The Kicker," "Calcutta Cutie," and the rest of Silver's original masterpiece.

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Reissue Series edition is 180-gram all-analog, mastered from the original tapes.

Another gem from Blue note posted on 12/24/2025 5 Stars Reviewer: Greg After getting into jazz recently and getting at least 50+ albums in last few months, I'd held off on buying this title, as the cover just looked .. old'ishsh to me. But so happy I picked it up, very quiet sound floor in the soft passages, like when just a few stand up bass strums and light piano with the brushing of the snare. Just cool jazz that I like, early Miles and Colrane for instance. But lovely piano too. Very happy with this and all the Blue Note represses.
