Dave Mason - Alone Together

Mason's debut solo album remains his best effort, due to well crafted tracks like the hit "Only You Know & I know" and "Feelin' Alright," a song that has been covered by numerous artists, including Joe Cocker, and Three Dog Night. Mason left Traffic in 1970 and went solo, enjoying sporadic success during the '70s with his style of light melodic rock/pop.

Mastered by Kevin Gray.

My copy is warped too. I can fix that though and it plays flawlessly already. I'll take a record like this for $6 any day. I have multiple marbled originals and they don't sound like this. KG, from the original tapes, RTI, $6? More of the same please. Buy a Vinyl Flat and more records like this.

Must've been my lucky day. Mine arrived today and it is not warped!Plays nicely too. A brilliant sounding album and at about the same price I paid for the original 70's vinyl! You got to take a chance for 5 bucks!

A Steal - Even Warped

I threw this in the cart for $5.50 - I mean, c'mon, I pay that and more for used records. The music is superb, a real classic 1970s record, not a bad track on it. The remaster is perfect, with all the detail and range of the present. A real delight to listen to - and even more fun to watch my Traveler tonearm track the horrible warp. I feel for MCA - they jumped into the modern 180gm market and this is what happened. Oh well it's a 70s record - and buying warped records used to be part of the game. They should have had QRP press it. Buy it anyway!

I'd never heard this before (other than "Only You Know and I Know"), but it was on sale for $5. What a steal. This sounds incredible. If you're buying some other things and qualify for the free shipping, you're a fool not to throw this in your cart. Really great songs and explosive warm sound. A great find.

Sounds great

I know this record like I know my name and the sound on this reissue is amazing. Wow. Unfortunately, it has a warp that *almost* renders it unplayable. My first Acoustic Sounds purchase. I expected better quality. I guess that's what you get for $5.50. That's about what I payed for the original in 1970! Makes me a little leary of mail order but, man, it sure does sound great.

Sounds like the early 70's felt.

I first heard this album in the early 70's. Of all of the great music released during that time, this one takes me back to those days, like no other. Definitely Dave's best. This pressing is decent, a real steal at the price.

When I hear this I'm "With Others By Myself"

this is one of the premier rock albums ever. I had it in the 70s when the vinyl was psychadelic multi colored. The clarity here is unreal (though I have a Linn turntable). This stuff never sounded so good on my old panasonic.
