Possibly Grobschnitt's best album, Solar Music Live is the definitive record of the band's space rock epic — originally unveiled on Ballermann, and expanded greatly over the course of Grobschnitt's gigging career to become the centerpiece of their concerts.

Recorded live in Mühlheim, Germany April 7th 1978, during the second half of the group's 32nd concert of 1978. Apart from the occassional vocal this is a predominantly instrumental album that allows each member of Grobschnitt to show off his chops. One flowing piece of music that explodes with gorgeous symphonic keyboards, liquid guitar runs, and monsterous drumming. It's a cosmic collision between symphonic rock and space rock. By the end of the album you will be banging your head in ecstasy.
