"There are very few bands on this planet who have gathered a cult following like Clutch. Hailing from Maryland, the band is now onto their 10th studio record and in that time we've seen them grow from a hardcore band to easily one the heaviest, most unique hard rock band of the 21st Century.

"It seems a surprise that Earth Rocker their 10th studio effort has a lot more in-common with the heavier sounds of Blast Tyrant than the blues influenced sound of the last few records. However don't be fooled into thinking that they've taken a step backwards, if anything, returning to their hard rock roots has reinvigorated the band.

"From the opening notes of the title track, this record goes at a hundred miles and hour 'Critical Velocity' is sure to become a live anthem and a fan favorite.The next three tracks 'Mr.Freedom,' 'D.C.Sound Attack!' and 'Unto The Breach' keep the pace going. The pace slows down on the track 'Gone Cold' one of the standouts of the album that harkens back to 'The Regulators' from Blast Tyrant without ripping it off 'My Heart is gone/I've gone cold' Neil croons over a slow burning groove.

"The album finishes with 'The Wolf Man Kindly Requests...' Neil Fallon screeching over Clutch's untouchable groove, his fantasy lyrics taking off as he screeches 'Parties over yeah i got to go/The sooner the better the wolf man is coming out.'
