With its emphasis on flamenco, rich orchestration and relaxed tempos Sketches of Spain is undoubtedly one of the smoothest and most accessible albums of Davis' brilliant career.

Substandard recording posted on 09/01/2025 2 Stars I buy a ton of records from AcousticSounds and the vast majority of the time they’re outstanding. However, the Sketches of Spain is a major let down. Bright, ear piercing, thin sounding with absolutely no body. Save your money and skip this one.
