Just like the 2.5 model, this 5.0 model is very simply the best outer record sleeve we've ever come across. The only difference is this 5.0 version is even more rigid and heavy-duty. Manufactured from crystal 250 micron clear polypropylene, with these sleeves you'll see your records perfectly crystal clear, rather than through a cloudy sleeve. And each sleeve is die-cut to exactly 12.75 x 12.75 inches. These sleeves are much more rigid and tight-fitting than standard outer sleeves. Again, if you want the absolute best and best-looking outer sleeve, look no further.

Great, but...

These 5.0 mil sleeves are great, order them all the time. On my most recent order, however, the label on the package says 5.0 mil, but they must really be the 2.5 mil version as they are quite thin and flimsy compared to all the others I have purchased. When I called Acoustic Sounds about it I was told they don't even sell a thinner version (although I see them for sale on the website), and was told I could send them back if I wasn't happy. Just wanted to make the company aware that there was likely a mixup with the two products, but I didn't feel like they were too concerned about it.

These are probably made by Sleeve City and are “almost” the best I have found. Even better are the oversized 13”x13” version that accommodates double albums and modern reissues. Acoustic Sounds is better value for me in Canada considering their postage costs. Please offer up the oversized version and I will buy lots with my record orders.

These are some of the better outer sleeves around. They are crystal clear and not cloudy like some of the other company's products. The only minor downfall is that the sleeve is pretty stiff and does not have a lot of stretch to it, so if you are trying to squeeze double LP's or larger records in they don't give much and the seams can rip. All in all, this is a very good sleeve at a fair price.

These are the only outer sleeves I have seen that actually stay clear. Very heavy and plenty of room for even most double LP sets. My grandkids will be amazed at the preserved quality of my collection. I am nearly done retrofitting my admittedly small collection of a couple hundred LPs and all new records get one immediately.

I have more than 1500 LP and all of them are in various PVC outer sleeves. Yes, these sleeves are very "clean" and transparent but they also have one very annoying downside: LP's slide out from them!

After grooming my growing LP collection (2000+) with vacuum cleaning and high quality innersleeves and I was searching for an outer sleeve that combined the durability of the best polyvinyl sleeves with the clarity of the Japanese resealable type. When this sleeve came to my attention a couple of years ago, I bought a pack of 50 to try. What a pleasure removing the art-obscuring cloudiness of the polysleeves, and annoying noisy chatter of the Japanese type to reveal the beautiful cover art in a rugged yet crystal clear sleeve. Once you see your treasures like this, you'll be adding a batch to each order to protect your entire collection in style. Very highly recommended.

Once you try this you'll wish all your LPs were covered in it. It is seriously thick, yet very clear. The absolute best protection bar none. Can't wait to get some more.
