Together with her Cuban ensemble, the Sarahbanda, she invites listeners to a very special Christmas celebration. The colourful, irresistible energy of Cuban music meets timeless Christmas classics such as "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", "Feliz Navidad" and many others — some of them featuring vocals by Carlos Calunga, known from the legendary Buena Vista Social Club.
The album includes a "joyful mix of favorites like ‘Jingle Bells' and ‘Silent Night', all infused with the irresistible grooves of salsa, mambo, bolero and son." Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 also come alive in fresh new ways with the distinctive Cuban flair.
