Max Romeo was a Jamaican reggae and roots reggae recording musician who achieved chart success in his home country and the United Kingdom. His 1968 single "Wet Dream" became a major hit in the U.K., reaching the Top 10 despite its controversial lyrics and launching a new style of reggae. He also had success with the vocal group the Emotions before his solo career.
