The Lost Recordings is proud to present the first-ever complete release of this extraordinary piece of music history featuring Miles Davis (trumpet), Sonny Stitt (saxophone), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Jimmy Cobb (drums).

Almost two years a previously unreleased analog tape of the Miles Davis Quintet was discovered. It turned out to be the missing part of their legendary concert on Oct. 11, 1960 at the Paris Olympia Concert Hall. After nearly two years of search in the South of France, the USA and Sweden, the other tapes from the event were gathered and meticulously restored as well. Davis, alongside his new quartet, was joined by the extraordinary Sonny Stitt, known as the "lone wolf" and unveiled "Stardust," a completely unreleased title. Together with Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Jimmy Cobb, they formed a perfect blend of controlled power, subtle intelligence, and boundless musicality.

Recorded at the Olympia, Paris, France on Oct. 11, 1960.
