Lori Lieberman's album Perfect Day includes a duet with Fink on the Lou Reed title track as well as a duet with Alon Lotringer ("Burden and Gift"), plus cover versions of the Cure's "Lovesong", Tracy Chapman's "Baby Can I Hold You," Alan Jackson's "The Older I Get," Ron Sexsmith's "Secret Heart," and Scott Walker's "Big Louise."

"It felt like a faraway dream-the very idea of recording a live analogue album in Berlin for LowSwing Records. I had been a fan of this very specialized record label, the mastermind of Matthias Lück and Guy Sternberg, and loved their recent project with the U.K. artist, Fink.

"Over a Zoom meeting with Matthias, Guy, and my husband and right hand, Joseph Cali, we talked about the feasibility of completing the sessions in two days, with a song list that Guy had thoughtfully compiled with me in mind. I had never thought I would ever sing songs by Lou Reed, The Cure, Ron Sexsmith, Tracy Chapman, or Scott Walker, but I really welcomed the challenge to go way outside the box. And within a month, there we were, at LowSwing Studios, and hit the ground running. I can't say enough about the stellar musicians that Guy had selected: Daníel Böðvarsson, Oliver Potratz, Doron Segal, James Scannell, and my longtime friend, Earl Harvin.
