• LP1 + LP2: The original 1984 album, mastered by Phil Kinrade and cut at half-speed by Barry Grint at AIR Mastering, London.

The album is split across 2LPs with special etched sides, housed in a gatefold jacket and housed in a 3/4 length slipcase made of black Buranao card to replicate the original 1984 Pete Saville black-on-black design along with a 4-page insert.

Ultravox's 1984 studio album Lament is being reissued for its 40th anniversary in September and among the reissue formats is a 34-track 5LP set pressed on clear vinyl. The set pulls together the newly remastered version of the album, new stereo & 5.1 surround mixes by Steven Wilson on two LPs, and the newly-mixed full concert from Hammersmith Odeon 1984.

Lament was the band's seventh album and the fourth with Midge Ure on vocals. After the George Martin polish of Quartet, the band produced Lament themselves reclaiming their new wave sound, with songs such as "Heart of the Country" and the title track. The album includes the U.K. top 10 hit "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" and "Lament" and "One Small Day" were both Top 30 singles in Britain.
