Three decades ago, Selena Quintanilla's iconic and chart-topping album Amor Prohibido made history by being the first Tejano album to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Album Chart. This achievement gifted Selena the recognition of becoming the second female Latin artist in history to top the chart, while simultaneously being the first female Latin artist in history to chart a "non-crossover" recording on the Billboard 200.
