Sandycoates - Melody Memory (EP)

Sandycoates is the alter ego of Greg Moore, better known as one half of Oakland, California’s Moore Brothers. As Sandycoates, Greg has recently been collaborating with local producer Velvet Mornings and the Melody Memory EP is the result.

Like a late night mix tape that smoothly runs the gamut from folk and baroque pop to new wave and dream pop, the Melody Memory EP plays a survey of Sandycoates’ favorite records. With lots of danceable beats and layered synthesizers, this record might seem a bit of a left turn for Greg but fans of the Moore Brothers will instantly recognized the trademark dense harmonies and unconventionally catchy hooks.
