Soundtrack for the Studio Ghibli Japanese animated film Castle In The Sky

Remastered 2LP album, gatefold jacket, etched side D, OBI strip, limited edition

This is the U.S. version of the soundtrack that was released on DVD in the U.S. in 2003. Joe Hisaishi re-recorded the soundtrack with new arrangements and added new songs. It's a remastered album, with new artwork, gorgeous specifications, a full explanation, and liner notes.

The film tells the tale of a young boy and a girl with a magic crystal who must race against pirates and foreign agents in a search for a legendary floating castle.

All of the LPs in this series were created by longtime Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi. Hisaishi is one of Japan's most prolific and celebrated composers, creating over 100 film scores and albums to date, including every Hayao Miyazaki animation since they first crossed paths, with the exception of Whisper of the Heart, which Miyazaki didn't direct.
