This eponymous album is the reflection of Carla Bruni herself, a wholehearted embrace. The sensitive music bears witness to a unique temperament and avoids ostentation; with a desire for calm simplicity. Multiinstrumentalist/ producer Albin de la Simone gave her new songs the most delicate treatment on their first collaboration. The  manifesto, "Carpe Diem," reflects the present moment.
