Prince - The Versace Experience (Prelude 2 Gold)

First-ever wide release of The Versace Experience (Prelude 2 Gold) on purple vinyl!

The Versace Experience (Prelude 2 Gold) was originally a limited edition promotional-only cassette of previously unreleased material given to attendees of the Versace runway at Paris Fashion Week in July 1995. Released ahead of 1995's The Gold Experience, the first album credited to Prince's infamously unpronounceable symbol, the cassette featured remixed versions of future favorites "Pussy Control," "Gold" and "Eye Hate U" as well as rare and commercially unreleased selections by The New Power Generation and Prince's jazz-fusion project Madhouse.

The release went on to be incredibly sought after, with one copy setting a record on Discogs for cassettes, fetching over $4,000. The tape was recreated exclusively for Record Store Day 2019 and was one RSD's popular releases. This is the first vinyl release for the title, released by The Prince Estate and Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.
