Exact reproduction of this 1976 episode of the Parliament saga, opening with backwards-masked weirdo vocals declaring "funk is its own reward." Bernie Worrell and ex-James Brown band member Fred Wesley split the horn arrangements, while Bootsy Collins and George Clinton address the scientific community at large.
The album became Parliament's second album to be certified gold. Two singles were released off the album, 'Do That Stuff,' and 'Dr. Funkenstein.' Continuing with it's Respect The Classics campaign Universal Music Enterprises is reissuing this classic on standard black vinyl.
