Widely regarded as one of the great RCAs. Alexander Gibson conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, performing ballet music from Charles Gounod's Faust and Georges Bizet's Carmen Suite. Featuring orchestral highlights from Faust and Carmen, the later selections on Side 2 are nothing short of spectacular. Outstanding clarity and stereo stage. Transparency and imaging is superb.

I had heard about this record for a few years and finally purchased it. It is an extremely quiet vinyl. I have never heard such clarity in a classic recording. Thank you Acoustic Sounds and Analogue Productions for such a sonic gift.

I've always enjoyed this recording. Though I never was able to find an original, I do have the Classic 33. I believe I have an early Victrola issue as well. This reissue is incredibly well done. Some astonishing crescendos sprinkled throughout. Nice string tone. Vinyl was super quiet and near perfect. Centered as well. The jacket is the best this record has ever seen. My favorite Living Stereo artwork and it's stunning too. Well done!
