Posted Sunday, January 25, 2026 by Randy This boxed set includes 3 releases of albums currently available (Cookin', Relaxin', and Steamin' - all are 2022 releases pressed at QRP).

The release of Miles appears to use the same plate as the recently released Craft Recordings versions of these albums, which is mastered by Kevin Gray (CR00722-A 43626.1(3)... KPG@CA). The only difference between the AP release and the Craft release appears to be pressing plant. However, the only proof I have is the rice paper QRP sleeve and a statement on the AS website. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

The release of Workin' appears to be different than the Craft Recordings release from a couple years ago. However, like the Craft release of the same title, Kevin Gray is the mastering engineer on this release. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

I own others copies ( Sony - stereo - UHQR 33 1/3 rpm - UHQR 45 rpm ) The bass is very accurate. I hear more details in general. I already did not compare to UHQR 33 1/3 version and I will update my review later. I compare to the blue vinyl version and I did not notice any difference

This superbly engineered AP lp gave me a sonic treat I have NEVER heard before on the cut The King Will Come … I hear Andy Powell’s 1919 Gibson A-2 mandolin picking out a beautiful layered melody. Yeah, that’s exactly what makes me such a fan of Chad Kassem and AP … digging every sound out of the grooves.

The twin guitars of Powell and Turner have never sounded so lush.

Acoustic Sounds has produced a superior pressing without artifacts or sibilants. Joan Baez is distinct because of her voice. It shines here. Absolutely stunning!

Highly recommended to the point of being must a have for any fan of the genre or artist. You know what to expect from a 45rpm pressing, this delivers all of that in spades. Again as with Exodus at 45rpm, this will be my go to from any and all vinyl copies. Thanks QRP/AP, another out of the park pressings.

Posted Sunday, October 27, 2024 by Superbee This is a great sounding record with an awesome Jacket from Stoughton, this reissue sounds better than my silver A&M label version but I don’t understand choosing this album over the album simply titled Humble Pie or even the album titled Rock On because in my opinion those records are better but that is just my opinion, this is an awesome release!
