Stunning remix

Posted Thursday, January 7, 2016 by Ken Steven Wilson did an outstanding job with this remix. This is the best of his four Yes remixes in my opinion. This is also the best sound I've heard from Fragile in any version including both digital and analog.

Posted Thursday, July 10, 2014 by Catdaddy Though I am still skeptical about any edition billing itself as "definitive," this seems to be. Steven Wilson's new 5.1 mix manages to be both immersive and impossibly lush while still remaining as clear and wary of compression as the classic studio mix.

If anything, this BD is an even more comprehensive and streamlined package than "Close to the Edge," as it even allows for playback without switching on your TV: just press "green" on the BD remote to jump right into the 5.1 LPCM mix (or "yellow" for stereo, if you must.)

The BD again includes older mixes, such as "needle-drop" transfers of the LP without removing the comfortably familiar surface noise. And again, the packaging is sensibly jewel-case sized to fit on your CD shelf.

Yep, you are going to have to buy this album again, too. (May we please have "Tales from Topographic Oceans" in this format, next?)

Posted Friday, January 17, 2014 by Audiophile Steven Wilson has done it yet again. I cannot believe the INCREDIBLE difference from past editions. It's truly amazing, and it includes an OUTSTANDING 5.1 mix, as well as different stereo versions. It sounds like a new, fresh recording by the band, that's how amazing this is. The detail and separation of instruments is nothing short of astounding and astonishing.

Stay away from Audio Fidelity's SACDs they have NO idea how to actually improve on what has been released in the past. All they do is copy old recordings without improving them in the least.

"Steven Wilson" ---- a name you can trust. Buy it, you will NOT be disappointed.
