The jacket is incredible looking and RTI did one heck of a job pressing this. The sound just takes the music to another level with the lower end providing bass that just kills it here. A perfect soundstage gives so much more detail to the instrumentation. Kevin Gray is clearly on top of his game with the job he did with this one. If a fan of this and you like records done proper at 45RPM, this version is beyond highly recommended! Sure hope to see "Benefit" get this treatment and would also like "Songs From The Wood". Chad delivers once again!

Posted Friday, June 10, 2022 by Dan D I bought this the day it came out on CD in 2003, and I have loved it since. Great soundstage, bass, and sparkle. I really notice the keyboards more than ever. I bought the new vinyl cut of "Two Against Nature" at the same time, and I have to say, I prefer this sound more. "TAN" is also great, it's just different. My guess is it's the difference between Bernie Grundman and Scott Hull.

While I was never able to snag one of the early LPs, there’s no question this 45rpm remaster is in a way different league than the digital files. Wonderful sonics, more authoritative bass and essentially no surface noise. Analogue Productions did a superb job.

One thing is that 45 RPM which naturally encourages deeper bass really works with and complements the Skynrd sound. So I think the 45 is a really nice match with this record (and Skynrd in general). Got this for $35 which is a steal. Grab them while they are this cheap!

I hesitated to purchase this one, thinking it couldn't sound any better than the mono or stereo remasters, but I'm so glad I did. I thought I knew every beat of this record, but this pressing charms me again each time I listen. Thanks AP! (Yes, it's flawless - quiet, clean, etc)

I have an original mono, and I have the MFSL All- Time Greatest Hits, the latter painstakingly done from the original individual album masters. There are lots of micro details that are revealed on the MFSL, but the MFSL, overall, sounds a bit cold and clinical. You'll go "Wow, I never heard that before" in terms of detail. And the music, of course, is great.

The AP, on the other hand, with the same songs, makes you melt into the arrangements and performances. The sound is warm, rich, and lush. The details are there, but they don't hit you over the head. This was probably tube mastered (at Bernie Grundman's), I'm guessing. The result is that this music has a beguiling characteristic.

As most of Orbison's albums do, this one contains filler, largely on side 3. I could skip that side and be happy. But the other songs, and particularly "Crying" and "Running Scared" w

The Deluxe Edition CD went a long way to cleaning up the mess, then the Friday Music vinyl just sounded the same, but THIS one got it right !!! Cleaner than ever before ! Ronnie's voice has that "in the room" quality, while the guitars, bass, and drums sound exactly as you'd want them to.

VERY Highly recommended.

One Of The Greatest Debut Albums Of All Time

Posted Wednesday, February 1, 2017 by Mike Zlotnicki The hype sticker says less than 1,000 copies from this stamper, so how long before it goes OOP I wonder ? 100% analog, and the sound is fantastic !!! I haven't bought a 45rpm yet that has let me down, and I hope I never do. Bass is strong (I've already shared with Ed King, since he was the one playing it on this album, in Leon's absence), but still crystal clear in Ronnie's vocals, and the guitars. Did I hear anything not heard before ? No, but that's okay, that doesn't have to happen everytime. P.S. This is my 7th copy, so I obviously love this album.

Highly recommended.
