Volume is low

Posted Tuesday, January 25, 2022 by Grant Terrific album, but my pressing has very low volume and sounds a tad muddy. Has anyone else experienced this with this pressing?

Good music, Bad sound

Posted Friday, June 4, 2010 by Anonymous Always liked the record very much. I have the original from 1976 but it was a little scratched up so I got this pressing. Disappointing to say the least. The original sounds much better. For $34.99 I expect much more. It sounds closed in and lifeless. To make matters worse, it arrived badly warped.

Charles Mingus - Let My Children Hear Music Product No: APPR 31039

Ok sound, missing the essay insert!

Posted Friday, April 30, 2010 by Robert Hutton This is a seminal album, unfortunately, the remastered sound is good - but far from great. The horns and solos are at times recessed, and the upfront sound doesn't help. I doesn't sound bad - far from it. It's just no better than a cheaper reissue and far from an original. To add insult to injury, the promised reproduction of the lengthy essay Mingus authored as a companion to the record - so integral to the presentation - wasn't included, despite the cover saying it is.

Louis Armstrong - Plays W.C. Handy (mono) Product No: APPR 591

So this is why he was so famous!

Posted Monday, October 23, 2006 by Pat The best Armstrong I've heard. At least as desirable, delectable as Ella & Louis. The track with commentary from W. C. Handy, himself, is a wonderful bonus.

Best version of St. Louis Blues I've heard.
