To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Alan Parsons Project, Cooking Vinyl will release remastered editions of three iconic and much-loved albums: Eye In The Sky, The Turn Of A Friendly Card and Ammonia Avenue.

The Alan Parsons Project's million-selling album Ammonia Avenue focuses on  the possible misunderstanding of industrial scientific developments from a public perspective and a lack of understanding of the public from a scientific perspective. It was a worldwide hit achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries.

Like other Alan Parsons Project albums, there were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including Chris Rainbow, Lenny Zakatek, Elmer Gantry as well as Eric Woolfson himself. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarists Ian Bairnson and David Paton and drummer Stuart Elliott with arrangements by Andrew Powell.

Expertly cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, in May 2025, on a customised Neumann VMS 80 lathe at half speed using a 1:1 archive transfer from the original SONY 1610 format digital mastertape recorded in 1984. Pressed on 180-gram clear colored vinyl at Optimal, Europe's premium pressing plant.

The Alan Parsons Project was a progressive rock music entity comprised of engineer/ producer Alan Parsons and songwriter, musician and manager Eric Woolfson. They released 10 concept albums which focused on subject matter such as science fiction, supernatural, literary and sociological themes between 1976-1987 and have sold in excess of 55 million albums worldwide.
