"With the super high production standards... and the spectacular clarity/fidelity of DSD, Wallace and Miller are right there in front of you." — Audiophile Audition, March 2002
Tenorman Bernie Wallace's finest-sounding-ever studio set spotlights one of the best quartets working in jazz today with the magnificent Mulgrew Miller on piano and a super program of smoky ballads and standards.
Recorded direct-to-2-track at Systems 2 in New York, the session features some of the hottest jazz musicians working in the U.S., including Miller, Peter Washington (bass) and Lewis Nash (drums). The sound and feel of the album are very close to that of the great Moodsville and Prestige recordings of the Fifties and Sixties, featuring artists such as Gene Ammons.
