Blu-Ray Audio Disc featuring Tacet real surround sound!

The Camerata Freden ensemble of Edward Daniel, Adrian Adlam, Tetsuumi Nagata, Grace Lee, Bartholomew LaFollette, Lionel Handy perform Korngold's String Sextet Op. 10. The group is joined by pianist Thomas Hell for the Piano Quintet Op. 15.

Korngold was a child prodigy at the turn of the 20th century, later winning the Academy Award for his score to The Adventures of Robin Hood in 1938.

The Camerata Freden launched as a festival ensemble almost simultaneously with the International Music Fredener two decades ago.

"Tacet again gives us a perfect and intriguing example of true 'surround sound.' The German company has led the field in multi-channel sound, and I treasure many of their superbly realistic recordings, particularly the Beethoven symphonies. Here is another outstanding issue, two major chamber works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold performed by camerata freden, with musicians from an ensemble that plays at the International Freden Music Festival... Players are violinists Edward Daniel. and Adrian Adlam, violists Tetsuumi Nagata and Grace Lee, and cellists Bartholomew LaFollette and Lionel Handy, with pianist Thomas Hell in the Piano Quintet. Diagrams show specific placement of each instrument, and this is what we hear—the listener is in the center of the performing group, a most engrossing place to be! Performers are excellent, and their sounds have been perfectly captured by the engineers..." — ClassicalCDReview.com
