Because Of The Times featuring "On Call" and "Fans"

Kings of Leon burst out of the rural South and into international consciousness with their distinct, unpolished style of garage rock. Each of their early albums subsequently embraced and perfected this music, becoming the band's trademark sound for the first part of their career. While the Kings eventually began to experiment with other genres and sonic exploration, their first three studio albums represent a family-band of young, hungry musicians paying tribute to their influences, from the raw guitar of Thin Lizzy to the southern-fried Allman Brothers Band, with all the swagger of the Stones.

Now available on remastered 180-gram, gatefold double LPs, are the band's first three albums: Youth and Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because Of The Times. Plus, included is Rarely, a full album of rarities from the period surrounding these albums.

I bought the Control Group's limited red vinyl pressing of this album and it was one of the worst mixed, mastered, pressed pieces of vinyl in my collection. It was awful. This re-issue fixes the problem. This is my favorite KOL album and it deserved this type of a release. Whereas the instruments in the previous release sounded dry and cornered, completely separate from each other, this pressing has everything coming together. Soundstage is tremendous and the guitars, bass, drums and vocals are all playing together and blending beautifully this time around. You can actually feel the energy of the band in Black Thumbnail. I thought that song only came across great live until I heard this pressing. Listening to My Party and the delicate sounds of the drums was like hearing the song for the first time. I hate these $35 prices, but the packaging is great and the vinyl is very quiet. If I'm gonna pay $35, I do feel like I'm getting my money's worth compared to other releases going for t
