The highly anticipated reggae-inspired album that includes "No Guns Allowed" and "Lighters Up"

After a 2012 trip to Jamaica, Snoop Dogg returned as Snoop Lion, a reformed reggae singer/dancehall rapper who had seen the Rastafarian light. Granted to Snoop by a Jamaican high priest, the name was first floated during a summer 2012 press conference introducing the debut Snoop Lion single, "La La La," which was released on the Berhane Sound System label and produced by Major Lazer. The track would land on Snoop Lion's debut reggae album, the appropriately titled Reincarnated.

Reincarnated is a multi-media project that includes not only the reggae-influenced album executive produced by Diplo and Major Lazer, but also a feature-length documentary of Snoop's journey and career which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews, a photo book, and a self-sustainable gardening initiative named Mind Gardens.

"Major Lazer and I had a special opportunity to focus on recording Reincarnated from top-to-bottom with no interruptions in Jamaica. From my time spent with the people and in the streets, these songs are based on peace, love, and the struggle," says Snoop Lion. "'Here Comes The King' is a taste of what's to come off that Reincarnated album and movie. It's going to be an exciting 2013. Bless up."
