As a bored teen growing up in Denton, TX, Sarah Jaffe began writing intimate and soulful lyrics that would later become the basis for her first full-length album, Suburban Nature, released in 2010. Since then, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter has released her second EP, The Way Sound Leaves a Room, toured with Norah Jones, is supporting Guthrie on their tour this spring, and has a second record, The Body Wins, in release.

In the beginning, Sarah's music was just her voice and her guitar, but her sound has creatively evolved from acoustic folk to indie electronic. And with the change in sound came a change in look: The singer shaved off her locks for a fierce bleach-blond pixie cut.
