2011 album from the garage/blues rock duo, the follow-up to the enormously successful Brothers album. With the hard-rocking El Camino, guitarist-singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney conjure up an exhilarating, stadium-sized sound in collaboration with producer and friend Danger Mouse. El Camino boasts a no-nonsense brilliance: The pace is fast, the mood is upbeat, the choruses unfailingly addictive made for shouting along, preferably in a large, sweaty crowd. A band already at the top of its game has gotten even better.

DOES NOT COME WITH BONUS CD

This would be a 5 review. However, I did not receive what is described above. I specifically ordered from Acoustic Sounds because they had the LP +bonus CD variant. LP arrived without the CD. Filled out the “contact us” form explaining the issue and if there was any way to resolve the issue. Been a couple weeks now with no response. I also didn’t receive tracking for 2 weeks. Until I inquired about my order that is. My order was packaged very well so that was a plus for future orders. Regardless, El Camino is a great album and of course recommend it. If you don’t care about the bonus CD then order away!

So/So QC

I'll say this the packaging is great, and it's cool that you get a digital copy of the album as well. The first copy I got was so badly warped that the record would slow and speed drastically on some tracks. The Warping was so bad on the edges that the needle would ocasionally lose tracking. Of course Acoustic sounds accepted an exchange; they've always been good with customer service. I got a new copy but it was still warped; though much less so and it's still playable; just an eye sore. I didn't return as I had no interest in jumping through shipping hoops again; plus it played fine. Just beware; the QC on these is sub par. If you get a good copy though it's solid.

I was already a fan but El Camino has made me a bigger Black Keys fan. Sonics are very good. There's a reason the first run in vinyl sold out so quickly. Hopefully the new pressing will be available soon so others can enjoy this great new Keys record.
