I am a Hendrix nut and it must be on vinyl ( though I have lots of CD's). I am still amazed at the high quality stuff in the vaults and the genius of the man, writer, musician. You can hear Jimi in the room with you, jamming on his portable recorder or in the studio. the sound is that fantastic. The digital remastering to clean it up is adversly affecting the outcome than earlier Eddie Kramer stuff- you really can't tell that they used any digital editing at all now.

not like the analog masterpieces the first set of legacy reissues

yes these are outakes and not polished studio recordings, but this sounds more like a simple digital transfer to vinyl. Little effort seems to have been put in for optimum sound. Good material though. Nice collector's item, at least mine is numbered

Great sound! and great song selection!

This thing sounds great, and I think many or most of the alternate versions of this songs are better than the regular versions. The R&B, rockabilly and blues era of Hendrix is superb.
