Playing this using an ultra simple setup....(AT LP120 turntable, Yamaha R-S201 receiver, Klipsch R-51M speakers) no fancy phono preamp...stock stylus cartridge...and this pressing sounds AMAZING! Dead quiet and Dead flat vinyl. The stereo separation is awesome. Dynamic range is all there...No need for added treble or bass from the receiver. QRP knows how to make records! BRAVO!

I´ll make it simple: buy this one.

If you like jimi, of course. I have this one and the first record. I wanted to purchase electric ladyland today (just based on the quality of these two, both the pressing and packaging), but its backordered. Some other day. Definitely.

As with all the other Hendrix reissues from this series, the sonics are outstanding. We all know the music, and it sounds great, maybe better than I've ever heard it before. The quality of the vinyl on all of these titles (I have purchased all four), as well as the remastering, is superb - not one snap, crackle, or pop...on this, or any other title. That alone is simply amazing these days. Highly recommended. To those Hendrix fans who have only - so far - heard the CDs...this is another great reason to buy a turntable.

Superb!

I no longer have an original copy to compare. My only other is Classic's outstanding mono reissue, and this one gives it a run for the money. They are different, yet equally seductive for their own virtues. This version has amazing dynamic range, a huge sound stage and is perhaps a bit brighter or 'hotter' than the Classic mono. The mono strikes me as slightly more lush, natural and 'organic' sounding. I will cherish them both in my collection. And such a great price point for a truly audiophile product!
