Like most everyone else here, I was having terrible woofer pumping problems on my B&W 603’s when playing vinyl. Put these filters inline and the problem is gone! To me there is no perceptible loss in sound quality. For anyone picking up buzz through the filters, buy yourself a little Faraday tape and wrap the filters in it. Excellent product excellent price, well done!

Saved the day and my woofers!

Works as it should. The rumble is gone and the woofer pumping is visually and audibly gone. I do notice a slight increase in hum however. I wish they made these shielded better or contained in some form of metal case.

Running B&W 685 S2 and ASW610 sub. The crazy woofer pumping on the 685s when playing vinyl is now completely gone, with no perceptible loss to bass response in the sub.

Works exactly as promised!

I was having a problem with my woofers on my speakers really rumbling hard when listening to my turntable at high volumes. Reducing the bass on my amp helped, but then the music was totally lacking in sound quality. Bought these with my fingers crossed, and boy they do NOT disappoint. The woofers are now under control, while still delivering a deep solid bass. It only eliminated the low end sounds that weren't music, but imperfections on the records themselves. I totally recommend them for this purpose!

Well, Damn. This did the trick. Without the excessive woofer pumping the upper midrange is much more stable. Bottom end is tighter. Soundstage is stable and solid. In addition, it's great to be able to crank the volume without the Velodyne FS-1200 protection circuitry kicking in.

No more woofer pumping

I recently upgraded to my first pair of ported speakers, a set of B&W 683s. The first time I played some vinyl I was quite concerned as I'd never seen woofers behaving the way these were, even between tracks! Digital sources were fine, but vinyl had the woofers pumping around even at low volume levels. I had the Marantz cranked up to about 70% and it switched itself off (protection circuit I assume). I knew something wasn't right...

I tried Vibropods thinking I had an isolation issue, even moved the turntable to a different room, all with the same result. Thanks to some time Googling I found out about subsonic filters which led me to Acoustic Sounds.

Once the filter was fitted between the TT and the preamp, everything was golden. No more woofer pumping, and bass was still there. We played a bunch of different records last night and problem solved. Thank you D.B. Systems!

I'm currently using an old pair of original Italian Handmade Opera Audio Callas Monitors with expensive ScanSpeak Revelator midwoofers that stopped bouncing around after Installing this cheap tweak from D.B. systems. They really do work. Thanks again to Acoustic Sounds for saving the day.

Yes these actually work. I was sceptical at first but when I coupled these with the Auralex Iso-tone platform......also purchased here......I was floored. No more rumble. No more woofer pumping. Just nice clean low end. If you're having these issues, give these a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Used with a Micro Seiki DD-35 and Ortofon 2M Blue.

Like some of the other reviewer I had a nasty speaker rumble when playing LP'S specifically in the quiet moments between tracks. I inserted the DB subsonic filters and no more rumble even at very high volume levels. Great product. Thank you D.B. Systems for a budget solution.

My turntable is on top of a 4 foot tall equipment cabinet, along a side wall, and 6 feet in front of my 2 speakers and powered sub. There is no other location for my turntable in this room. I had a persistent LF rumble and no rumble filter on my pre-amp. I bought an expensive base for the turntable, a cork mat, and isolation feet. Each item helped but the rumble/woofer flutter was still there. I tried this DB Systems Subsonic Filter and this really works! I still have plenty of bass and now I have plenty of volume! This will not degrade the sound quality of your system.

Had the nasty rumble in my speakers and could not isolate the turntable enough to help it.Popped these in line and it has worked great ever since.
