The Pyramids - Birth/Speed/Merging

Birth/Speed/Merging was The Pyramid's final studio act. Cut in 1976 after a relocation of the core members from Ohio to California, the mood was celebratory, carnival-esque, and wholly in the groove. It was the band's highest end production to date, showcasing the clear and singular contributions of each member. Everyone's instrumental contributions shone equally, and the masterful percussion playing of Kenneth Nash brought a whole new focus to the rhythmic passages that had always been a big part of the band.
