I understand with cds but vinyl?

I bought this based on the 1st review here, and I thought it to be somewhat misleading after receiving the album. I was about to send it back before searching elsewhere for reviews on this import. Here's what I found and this guy pretty much hits it on the head. Not all the songs have that distorted sound but the first and last surely do.

"Sound quality is a mixture of smooth vintage sound and horrific distortion and overproduced nonsense. In their quest for a vintage sound, all the buttons have been pressed. Many of the percussion is stupidly distorted and the overall sound is highly compressed. Having said that, if you don't listen too closely it sounds just fine. It certainly doesn't shriek. There's an inner picture sleeve with the lyrics and some photos of Amy before she turned into a skeleton. Universal have presented the album on a fairly good heavyweight pressing. Vinyl definitely the way to listen to this album".

RIP Amy, one of the best artists in the past 20 years.

Amy Winehouse was one of those unique artists, with a great, distinct sound! I will never forget her! This album is by far one of the best albums of the 00's. I have the american pressed vinyl, the original cd, and this british vinyl import. This is by far, the best copy to own. I assume this album will become a historic one; one that will be looked upon decades from now. Don't miss out on this copy, soon they will be gone, and will become very rare! Just buy it now, you will not be disappointed!
