The Temptations and their producer Norman Whitfield had experimented so successfully with psychedelic soul on their previous release, Cloud Nine, they continued on that path with the group's 11th album, Puzzle People, in 1969. Produced by Norman Whitfield and featuring a lineup of Otis Williams, Dennis Edwards, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, and Paul Williams, the album, which included the No. 1 pop hit "I Can't Get Next To You," as well as "Don't Let The Jones Get You Down," and a cover of the popular Beatles track "Hey Jude," spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart, while reaching No. 5 on the Pop Albums chart.

This is one of the group's — and Motown's — strongest LPs of the era. Available on 140-gram virgin vinyl. Limited edition.
