One of the Ramones' most experimental albums

Possibly one of Ramones most experimental albums, Animal Boy delivered the world "My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes To Bitburg)," "Mental Hell" and "Love Kills" and a bunch of synthesizers, an unusual departure from the band's preferred instrumentation on the previous eight albums.

Generally considered one of the band's "underrated gems" this album proved the band's playfulness with influences from early rock and pop could be explored within the parameters of the Ramones signature sound while still evolving.
