Consisting of an 8LP vinyl collection plus two Blu-ray discs, the set also houses a 36-page book, large Green Day flag, and iconic American Idiot red tie.

The American Idiot Super Deluxe Box Set includes:

• 15 track 2004 concert recorded at Irving Plaza in New York City

• 9 previously unreleased live recordings

In the summer of 2004, Green Day entered the studio with Rob Cavallo to create American Idiot, uncertain of what the future held. They were audacious, rebellious, and stressed out by the state of the country at the time. American Idiot was crafted as a response to the daily bombardment of media that spreads it far and wide, making us desensitized and weary — filled with themes that still ring true today, even 20 years later.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool released their ambitious, explosive, and political album to massive success on September 21, 2004. The album has some of Green Day's most successful and instantly recognizable tunes, such as "Holiday," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and (of course) the title track. The record would go on to sell 23 million copies worldwide and was certified platinum-selling six times.
