Electronic artist Chypho returns with the second installment in his series of invertebrate-inspired tracks: Entomongaku II. The album opens with “Pale Morning Duns,” which is yet again evocative of a serene environment rich with life and bathed in sunlight, preparing us to traverse through the tiny insect world that surrounds us. This track provides a familiar warmth that parallels the beginning of the first Entomongaku. While this album serves as a companion to its predecessor, mirroring the tone and overall shape, it still serves as a standalone work with wondrous compositional merit. Another notable track would definitely be the lighthearted waltz “Butterfly Fountain.” For those that loved the colors and textures of the first album, the music here will suit you. Entomongaku II is the second title of the Chypho LPs released by Jahbulon Records. The beautiful cover art, coupled with the sleek obi and gold-foil stamped numbers, make these a great addition to your collection.
