1973 was truly a successfully huge year for the classic rock legends The Doobie Brothers.

After releasing their breakout 1972 masterwork Toulouse Street, the superstar quintet returned immediately to the studio with a future Doobie Brother Jeff "Skunk" Baxter and long time friend Billy Payne from Little Feat, and delivered one of their biggest albums ever — The Captain And Me.

The stellar line-up of Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons, Tiran Porter, John Hartmann and Michael Hossack, built the Doobie franchise even further as the album's eleven rockin' tracks were both rock and Top 40 fare for radio outlets across the globe.
