Features the No. 1 hit "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone"

Deluxe 180-gram reissue including original artwork and credits

A superb album produced by Motown's psychedelic mastermind Norman Whitfield. It reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 1972, making it the band's most successful non-collaborative album on the chart. It also became their 12th album to reach No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart.

All Directions features the No. 1 hit "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," which was a 12-minute cover of a Whitfield-produced Undisputed Truth single. "Papa" won three Grammy Awards in 1973: Best R&B Performance by a Group for The Temptations, Best R&B Instrumental Performance for Whitfield and arranger/conductor Paul Riser, and Best R&B Song for Whitfield and lyricist Barrett Strong. It is widely regarded as one of The Temptations' signature numbers.

Elemental Music, together with Universal Music Group, present the best selection of '60s & '70s R&B, soul, funk, disco, jazz, blues, pop-rock and folk out-of-print titles from the vaults of classic labels such as Polydor, Motown, Chess, MGM, A&M, Mercury or Capitol Records, among others.
