Jesse Malin - Glitter In The Gutter

 

Expanded and remastered version of Jesse Malin's 2007 album

Singer Jesse Malin is releasing a new remastered and expanded version of his third studio album from 2007 Glitter in the Gutter via Stevie Van Zandt's Wicked Cool Records. It includes an updated take on the Bruce Springsteen duet, "Broken Radio," now fittingly dubbed "Broken Radio 22."

In a press release, Malin dove into the history behind Glitter in the Gutter and how he came to work with Springsteen. He shared, "Springsteen had mentioned that if we needed him, he would like to be part of the record in some way." At the time, Malin had just written "Broken Radio" as a tribute to his late mother, who passed away when the artist was a teenager. He continues, "I sent the song to Bruce, and he responded pretty quickly with a phone call and said he was in."

The duo recorded and released "Broken Radio" as a part of the Glitter in the Gutter album. Malin remarks, about the recording process with Springsteen, "He was very humble and giving, and gave a beautiful performance." As a bonus for fans, the original music video, which Danny Clinch created in 2007, has been re-edited and can be watched above.
