Dallas four-piece Drowning Pool set the heavy metal world on fire in 2001 with their debut album Sinner. Originally released on June 5, 2001, it is considered to be the band's most popular album — earning RIAA platinum certification within the first six weeks of its release. This was due at least in part to their hit single "Bodies," which remains the band's most well-known song.
The album, produced by Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Coal Chamber, Orgy), combines Drowning Pool's serious heaviness with the energy of their live shows. This album is especially unique in that it is the only studio album to feature the band's original singer Dave Williams. This album is available on vinyl for the first time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release.
