Frampton puts his spin on iconic blues tracks!
150-gram LP pressed at Quality Record Pressings!
The title of Peter Frampton's new blues covers album is a tip of the hat to Miles Davis' track "All Blues," from the trumpeter's legendary 1959 album Kind of Blue. Frampton's new album finds the former Humble Pie and "Show Me The Way" singer putting his own spin on iconic blues tracks from legends such as Bo Diddley, BB King, Ray Charles, Taj Mahal and many others. Since its release on June 7, 2019, it has rockted to the top of the Billboard blues chart.
Frampton says he was inspired to take on such an adventurous project after playing a number of classic blues tunes while he toured with Steve Miller Band. He also discussed how he found deep influence in the work of Miles Davis. Kind of Blue, he says, ranks among his highest "desert island" records.
The 150-gram vinyl LP edition was plated and pressed at Quality Record Pressings, a division of Acoustic Sounds Inc., and makers of the world's finest-sounding audiophile LPs.
