Ron Goodwin was born February 17, 1925 in Plymouth, and began piano lessons at age five. By 15, he already had conducted his own orchestra. Through the documentary film business he go in touch with the film music, from his point of view "a very good training." He worked as ghostwriter for - among others - Phil Green, Stanley Black, Geraldo and Peter Yorke.

Odense Symphony Orchestra is one of the five regional orchestras in Denmark, based in Odense, Funen; the birthplace of both the famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and the famous composer Carl Nielsen. The orchestra gives some 100 concerts a year at home and abroad, and has toured Russia, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Greece.
