Taken from A Boy From Tupelo: The Complete 1953-1955 Recordings Box Set

Master takes, newly remastered and painstakingly restored, provide a chronicle of Elvis' early recording career at Sun Records. The recordings that Elvis Presley made for Sun Records in Memphis in 1954 and 1955 literally changed the world, both musically and culturally. His unique blend of R&B, country and gospel music made for an entirely new sound that would shake up the world in just 18 short months, culminating in his first LP for RCA Records and his first nationally broadcast TV appearance.
A Boy From Tupelo gathers all of the master takes on LP for the first time and captures the sound and feel of what Sun Records owner Sam Phillips first heard on that hot summer day in July 1954. Sam liked what he heard; soon the world would come to agree.
