AM radio variety compressed mess posted on 01/30/2020 3 Stars This double lp is 180 grams but it sounds worse than digital cd and has no bass. It sounds like Clive got to this and had them compress the sh## out of it. I am so disappointed.

Big Black 12" CD posted on 11/03/2016 3 Stars Reviewer: Ted This is a big black 12" CD. The first album in this two album set is so digital it will give you a headache. Really bad compared to the original analog albums, which sound phenomenal. The second album I do have to say sounds remarkably good. These were originally recorded in the cd(digital) era, so I suppose they would sound better on vinyl, and they do! Very detailed and spacious! If you have the original 70's early 80's all analog albums, this album would only be recommended for the second album. If you don't have any of the earlier albums all analog I would definitely suggest to buy them, because these tracks on this album are awful!!

A Neccessity! posted on 08/02/2016 5 Stars If you are a Tom Petty fan, this album is a must have! I purchased the original incarnation of it back in '93 on CD and this just smokes it in every way possible. Better dynamics and a sense of space, whereas the CD was just flat and kind of blah sounding. One of the best releases for 2016!
